Karen Lindsay received her M.A. in Art History from the University of California at Berkeley and studied at the Sorbonne, the International Center of Photography, the School of Visual Arts, and the National Academy School.  She completed additional studies in Paris and Munich and Tokyo.

Lindsay’s series of documentary art films was broadcast on public television and shown at the New York, Toronto, Chicago, and Berlin Film festivals. She has taught art history, photography and art workshops throughout the city and currently teaches in Community Programs at the International Center of Photography and is a member of the faculty at the National Academy School where she teaches classes and workshops in Alternative Photographic processes
